Safety Manager - Santa Teresa, NM

Job Summary

Lead Project Safety Manager for electrical and utility construction operations, providing daily direction to field safety technicians and ensuring oversight of active work areas. Maintain a visible field presence alongside crews to monitor high-risk electrical work, enforce NFPA 70E requirements, and support Lockout/Tagout and hazardous energy control practices. Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments while reviewing Job Hazard Analyses and coordinating safety activities with project management, superintendents, and subcontractors. Lead incident investigations, track safety deficiencies, and enforce corrective actions to drive consistent safety performance across the data center project. Monday-Saturday schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 50-60 hours weekly with possible Sunday work. $70/hr local or $52/hr non-local, plus per diem and completion bonus. Immediate need for 12-month 1099 contract.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of construction site safety experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience serving in a Lead Safety Manager, Project Safety Manager, or comparable onsite safety leadership role
  • NFPA 70E Training/Certification
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Strong electrical construction safety experience

  • Additional ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential
