Job Summary
Partner with the Safety Director to develop, implement, and continuously improve company-wide safety policies, programs, and initiatives. Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations while conducting hazard assessments, safety audits, and site inspections. Lead thorough accident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to reduce risk across operations. Develop and deliver safety training programs, administer the Workers' Compensation program, and monitor safety performance metrics to drive proactive risk reduction strategies. Report program successes and challenges to leadership while staying current on emerging safety regulations and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Environmental Safety, or a related field
- Five or more years of experience in risk management, industrial safety and health, safety engineering, and/or safety management within a relevant industry
- Working knowledge of health, safety, environmental management practices, OSHA regulations, and Workers' Compensation requirements
- Ability to travel several times per year
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening
