Job Summary

Lead project safety oversight and direction for the CNY C6 Project by maintaining a visible field presence and proactively identifying risks. Partner with leadership, superintendents, and subcontractors to incorporate safety into daily planning, while developing, mentoring, and delivering training to employees and supervisors. Conduct site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks to monitor compliance with OSHA standards, investigate incidents and near misses, and develop corrective actions. Plan safety policies and procedures, lead safety meetings, and track performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of accountability. Manage multiple priorities and communicate findings to project leadership to ensure timely resolution of safety concerns.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety leadership or management capacity
  • OSHA 500
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and DOT laws, regulations and policies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and deliver safety training to employees, supervisors, and project leadership
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills with the ability to coach field personnel and develop safety leadership at all levels
  • Proven ability to promote and maintain a strong safety culture focused on accountability, employee engagement, and proactive risk prevention
  • Ability to provide project wide safety oversight and leadership while working effectively with project management, field supervision, employees, and subcontractors
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
