Job Summary
Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures while managing job-related injury cases. Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify hazards, ensuring regulatory compliance and installing necessary safety devices. Coordinate worker training on safety laws, hazardous condition monitoring, and equipment use, and conduct or review findings from facility inspections and environmental testing. Track regulatory safety statistics, analyze data on occupational illnesses, and recommend process features to reduce employee exposure to chemical, physical, and biological hazards. Liaise with fire departments and rescue teams to facilitate emergency responses. Requires 10+ years of safety experience in industrial construction or heavy industry, a Bachelor's degree preferred, and certification in first aid, hazardous materials, and hazard communication. Reports to the Director of Quality and Safety.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of safety experience in industrial construction, engineering, or heavy industry
- Minimum of 3 years in a safety leadership or management role
- Certified First Aid
- Hazardous Materials Technician Training
- Hazard Communication Certified
- Available for short-term travel
