Job Summary
Oversee safety practices and procedures on large commercial construction projects by establishing a company-wide culture of health and safety. Prepare comprehensive Job-Site Specific Safety Plans for each assigned project and conduct initial safety orientation training for all new field employees and subcontractors. Perform field inspections, accident investigations, and audits while reviewing HAZCOM/SDS documents and environmental issues such as SWPPP and dust control. Maintain documentation of safety violations, near-miss reports, incident reports, and daily huddles. Attend pre-construction, pre-installation, and monthly Safety Manager meetings to address site-specific concerns. Travel between multiple projects spanning Southern California regions. OSHA 30 certification and 3-7 years of experience required.
Required Qualifications
- 3-7 years of Safety Manager experience on commercial construction projects
- OSHA 30 certification
- Ability to travel between multiple projects spanning our Southern California region (Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Bernardino County)
- Knowledge and familiarity with Construction processes, practices, and procedures
- Proven ability to adapt behavior or work methods in response to new information or conditions
- Experience with follow-up and monitoring of work to ensure quality standards and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and team player mindset
