Job Summary
Oversee jobsite health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment, including implementing and monitoring the company's HSE Management System. Assist in identifying departmental HSE needs and strategies while staffing project locations with qualified personnel. Provide guidance to jobsite managers on health and safety issues, interface with project management teams, and track critical HSE data and metrics. Update key company safety programs, procedures, and regulatory compliance items based on input and trends. Perform additional assignments per supervisor direction. This role requires OSHA experience, safety certifications, and adherence to strict site requirements including specific PPE and physical tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Safety Manager experience
- experience with OSHA and safe work practices and standards
- Technical training and/or industrial related safety experience
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Hazard Communication orientation/test
- Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination
- OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
- Job site orientation
- Job site safety requirements (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, )
- Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, )
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the workplace
- Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level
- Must be able to maintain balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.
- Must be able to reach in all directions
- Must be able to handle and manipulate objects and materials
- Must be able to coordinate the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment
- Must be able to lift from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead
- Must be able to carry objects, tools, equipment, etc.

Desired Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or approved equivalent certifications
