Job Summary
Implement safety programs and procedures ensuring compliance with State, Federal, and corporate policies while leading Drive Cam and OSHA/CDL initiatives at the division level. Establish safety culture by managing training for classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction, overseeing audits with regulatory agencies, and analyzing trend data to prevent incidents. Ensure all safety manuals, policies, and technology tools remain current, while supervising incentives, background checks for new hires, and inventory of training materials. Requires a valid CDL with passenger endorsement and five years of experience in paratransit safety management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years of recent experience managing paratransit safety/training programs or similar position
- Knowledge of safety programs, policies, and practices
- Ability to develop and implement a safety and training program
- Possess a valid, unexpired CDL with passenger endorsement
- driving experience in revenue services
- One-year accident/injury-free driving experience
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Possess excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Excellent attendance record
- Extended transportation experience
- Computer experience
- knowledge of regulatory requirements to assure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws for operating demand-response transportation services (e.g., FTA, DOT, ADA and drug and alcohol, DOJ Title VI, and state DOT regulations)
