Job Summary
Monitor safety programs with on-site subcontractors and employees, ensuring all new hires have proper documentation. Conduct documented safety and health inspections at least twice monthly, coordinate compliance reports with the insurance company, and investigate all injuries to log incidents for OSHA purposes. Coordinate protective equipment availability, enforce safety policies using the disciplinary policy, and lead weekly Project Safety "Toolbox" meetings. Record and forward all safety-related documentation to the Division Safety Director. Requires OSHA 500 and BCSP certifications and experience managing safety on large healthcare or industrial projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 5+ years' experience managing safety efforts of large healthcare, commercial, industrial, mission critical, or similar construction projects
- Ability to manage/administer safety orientations, oversee substance abuse programs, investigate/report on injuries/illnesses/near misses and perform other various safety functions on-site
- Ability to work with all construction groups - management, owners, trades and subcontractors
- Excellent communication, organizational, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel or relocation within the region as needed
Desired Qualifications
