Job Summary
Lead and enforce safety programs for underground utility construction projects (water and sewer) across Texas, focusing on excavation and trenching safety, confined spaces, heavy equipment operations, and regulatory compliance. Direct onsite crew safety protocol, conduct inspections and audits, lead incident investigations, deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks, manage documentation (OSHA logs, training records, JSAs), and coordinate with project teams to improve site safety. Requires strong knowledge of OSHA standards (especially Subpart P and Confined Space), OSHA 30 construction certification, and relevant certifications; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred; willingness to travel between Texas job sites.

- Trenching & Excavation Certification (required)
- Confined Space Certification (required)
- CHST or CSP (required)
- 3–5+ years of safety management experience in underground utilities, civil, or heavy construction
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, especially Excavation & Trenching (29 CFR 1926 Subpart P) and Confined Space (Permit & Non-Permit)
- Experience conducting safety training and field audits in active construction environments
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred)
- Ability to travel between jobsites across Texas
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to review civil construction plans and elevations
- OSHA 30 Construction Certification (required)
- Trenching & Excavation Certified
- Confined Space Certified
- CPR / First Aid Certified / AED
- OSHA 500 or 510 (preferred)
- CHST or CSP (certifications)
