Job Summary
Ensure all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and codes are observed on job sites. Monitor safety regulations, manage OSHA recordkeeping, reporting, and employee training requirements, and compile, analyze, and report accidents or injury incidents. Conduct onsite safety inspections, evaluate hazard control systems, and assist with developing controls for identified hazards. Provide advice on compliance regulations, coordinate safety supply purchases, and train field staff including new employee orientation and annual refresher sessions. Communicate with clients and vendors to establish safety parameters and actively participate in meetings to suggest improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a utilities or construction safety role
- Knowledge of Federal and State safety regulations
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Outgoing personality, self-motivated
- Excellent customer service, telephonic, electronic, and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with, persuade, and gain buy-in from a broad range of stakeholders from a new crew to senior executive leader
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Must have organization, attention to detail, flexibility, and strong ability to multi-task
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without direct supervision
- Must embrace a team based, initiative driven environment
- Must possess a high level of technical expertise
- Must be open to some travel

Desired Qualifications
- Preferred CHST, CUSP (Electric T&D endorsement)
- Preferred 510 training completion
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a utilities or construction safety role, preferably in electrical utility construction
