Job Summary
Lead Project Safety Manager for electrical and utility construction operations, providing daily direction to field safety technicians and assigning coverage across active work areas. Maintain a highly visible presence alongside crews to oversee electrical installation, utility construction, and infrastructure activities while monitoring high-risk work for NFPA 70E compliance. Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments; review Job Hazard Analyses, permits, and pre-task plans. Coordinate safety activities with project management, superintendents, and subcontractors; lead incident investigations and root cause analyses. Track safety deficiencies, ensure corrective actions, and maintain documentation, reports, and metrics. Mentor safety personnel to reinforce proactive hazard recognition and promote a strong safety culture throughout the project.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of construction site safety experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience serving in a Lead Safety Manager, Project Safety Manager, or comparable onsite safety leadership role
- NFPA 70E Training/Certification
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification
- Strong electrical construction safety experience
