Safety Manager

Job Summary
Lead and optimize safety operations at a manufacturing facility; develop and enforce OSHA-compliant safety and environmental policies; train managers and employees in fire prevention, lockout/tagout, fall protection and chemical handling; prepare studies and analyses of industrial accident causes; inspect facilities for hazards and implement corrective actions; lead investigations of accidents and near misses; coordinate permits and environmental reports with regulators and external consultants; work with site leadership to ensure adherence to EHS policies and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical degree
- 5-7 years of hands-on EHS experience in manufacturing
- Knowledge of regulatory agencies and requirements (EPA, OSHA, state regulations)
- Experience with hazard analysis and ergonomics assessment
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
