Job Summary
Conduct gap analyses of client safety programs to identify specific needs and develop processes aimed at zero accidents. Routinely inspect construction and general industry projects to identify and abate hazards, while investigating accidents and near misses to determine root causes and prevent reoccurrence. Write project-specific safety plans and job hazard analyses, and develop training programs for existing and new policies. Oversee the completeness and accuracy of accident reports, ensuring consistent adherence to safety policies and fostering a culture of accountability. Requires bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, a bachelor's degree in safety or construction management, and minimum five years of construction safety experience. Up to 25% travel required; local to Irving, TX or willing to relocate.
Required Qualifications
- Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish
- A bachelor's degree in safety management, construction management, or related area OR Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) designation
- Minimum of 5 years construction safety experience
- Knowledge of the OSHA Construction Standards CFR 1926, General Industry Standards CFR 1910 and other best management practices
- Knowledge of typical construction processes
- Strong background in use of technology and software applications
- Computer skills using SharePoint and MS Office, including Excel
- Technical writing capabilities of developing policies and procedures for clients
- Up to 25% travel required
- Local to Irving, TX area or willing to permanently relocate to the area
- This is a safety-sensitive position and will require drug screening and background check
