Job Summary
Safety Manager for the Houston Texas Division at Austin Commercial. Manages the site safety program on assigned project, educates and trains project staff in federal, state, and local laws to ensure compliance with the safety manual and company expectations. Builds relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representatives; creates safety reports and investigation documents; delivers safety training and development for staff and subcontractors; represents the company professionally with owners and subcontractors; facilitates safety training aligned with project schedules; maintains relationships with key vendors and participates in regional safety organizations; ensures compliance with the current safety manual and policies.
Required Qualifications
- 6-8 years safety experience in construction industry
- Authorized OSHA 500 Trainer
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
- SWPP knowledge
- Safety certification from an accredited organization, such as BCSP or an equal alternative
- Advanced knowledge of construction processes and procedures
- Proficient in relevant software
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
