Job Summary
Oversee jobsite health and safety policies and procedures while assisting in identifying departmental HSE needs and strategies. Staff project locations with qualified personnel and provide guidance to jobsite managers on health and safety issues. Implement and monitor the company's HSE Management System, tracking critical data metrics and developing improvement tools. Interface with project management teams to address compliance items and update safety procedures. Perform additional assignments per supervisor direction while adhering to site requirements including climbing structures and wearing OSHA-approved protective equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience with industrial or commercial safety
- Must have experience with OSHA and safe work practices and standards
- Technical training and/or industrial related safety experience
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Hazard Communication orientation/test
- Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination
- OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
- Job site orientation
- Job site safety requirements (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, )
- Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, )
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the workplace
- Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level
- Must be able to maintain balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.
- Must be able to reach in all directions
- Must be able to handle and manipulate objects and materials
- Must be able to coordinate the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment
- Must be able to lift from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead
- Must be able to carry objects, tools, equipment, etc.
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to kneel
- Must be able to crouch/squat
- Must be able to see with or without correction

Desired Qualifications
- Preferred but not required B.S. Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or approved equivalent certifications
