Job Summary
Safety Manager responsible for overseeing the safe production and shipping of galvanized steel products, leading the Safety, Health, and Environmental programs at two Canton, OH and Athens, AL manufacturing sites, developing and administering health and safety procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance (OSHA/EPA/state/local), conducting safety training and incident investigations, and partnering with leadership to close gaps and drive continuous safety improvements. Strong communication, team-building, organizational skills, and experience with regulatory affairs and incident root-cause analysis are required.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in a leading safety management role
- Experience in developing and managing safety and environmental programs
- Experience in conducting thorough root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Extensive experience with forklift safety programs and heavy manufacturing a plus
