Safety Manager

Job Summary
Develop and maintain comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and programs ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards, investigate incidents, and lead root cause analyses to prevent recurrence. Deliver training sessions for employees and contractors, coordinate safety committee meetings, and manage emergency response plans and drills. Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, maintain compliance documentation, and analyze safety metrics to drive continuous improvement. Travel approximately 40% to support retail, donation, education, and hospitality locations while ensuring adherence to internal quality standards and 5S requirements.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations (e.g. OSHA, CPSC, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline
- Multiple professional certifications including OSHA 10 and 30, CPR/First Aid, CSP
- At least seven years in safety or risk management field
- At least three of those years being in a supervisor or managerial role
- Travel: Approximately 40% to provide support to our retail, donation centers, education, and hospitality locations
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to work in confined spaces

- Ability to work independently with strong self-management and self-motivation, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks at once
