Job Summary
Supervise all safety efforts on a single large project by ensuring contractor activities are preplanned through scope reviews, preconstruction meetings, and JHA reviews. Maintain safety documentation, audit project team implementation of the Safety Plan using SafetyNet, and perform at least 15 inspections monthly with 100 observations per inspection. Investigate accidents and near misses, provide and analyze trending reports to develop action plans, and coach the team on hazard identification and correction. Deliver training on Gilbane, client, and OSHA requirements while managing direct reports' workload and performance. Serve as the project liaison for insurance carriers and collaborate with business development to align safety metrics with sales strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 4-5 years of construction safety management experience
- Certified and authorized instructor by GU and OSHA to teach safety courses to employees and contractors
- Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety Management or Engineering preferred
