Job Summary
Conduct regular field safety audits at customer refining and chemical facilities, enforce OSHA and EPA regulations, and oversee high-risk activities including confined space entry and hot work. Lead investigations for all near-misses and injuries, complete root-cause analyses, and prepare detailed incident reports for executive leadership and clients. Design safety training programs, maintain comprehensive compliance documentation, and develop site-specific safety plans for refinery and chemical manufacturing projects. This role requires travel up to 50% of the time to support field visits and may involve weekend support and emergency response availability. The candidate will office from Baytown, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of safety experience
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- Professional certification: OHST, CSP, ASP, CHST, or similar
- Experience with contractors servicing the Gulf Coast refinery and chemical manufacturing sectors
- Strong customer management and relations skills
- Plant shutdown and turnaround experience
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to support regular field and project visits
