Job Summary
Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program ensuring OSHA compliance, then conduct monthly safety assessments and field jobsite visits. Supervise health and safety programs while assisting with pre-project planning, emergency action plans, and pre-task plans for high-risk activities. Provide technical assistance on safety technology, participate in trade groups and safety committees, and conduct root-cause analyses for incidents. Manage workers' compensation claims, monitor injuries and illnesses, maintain training records, and develop weekly Toolbox Talks and annual training calendars. Work 90% of the time in the field with exposure to varied weather and site conditions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years as a Construction Safety Manager
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be willing to travel within the state
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years in heavy civil/infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management
- OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer
- CHST
- CSP
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
