Job Summary
Safety Manager responsible for leading a comprehensive safety program for construction operations, ensuring OSHA and regulatory compliance, conducting regular safety audits and incident investigations, developing training and budgets, managing workers' compensation and return-to-work programs, and leading the Safety Committee. Requires a Bachelor's in environmental health & safety or related field, OSHA 500 (CSP preferable), at least 5 years in construction safety, strong regulatory knowledge, staff and vendor management, bilingual preferred, and valid Arizona driver license. Travel involved; role includes implementing and monitoring safety initiatives, reporting, and fostering a world-class safety culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety, safety management, construction or related field
- OSHA 500, CSP certification preferable
- Minimum 5 years experience in construction industry safety management
- Excellent knowledge of construction related OSHA, federal, state, and local regulatory standards
- Experience managing staff and third party hired firms
- Bilingual preferred
- Skilled at making verbal and written presentations and communicating with others
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must have a valid Arizona driver license
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and travel extensively
