Safety Management Coordinator

Owns the organizational Event Management & Safety Program within the Quality Management System at Augusta Health. Responsible for supporting a culture of safety through management of the electronic event reporting system, timely response to patient and staff safety events, safety rounding, education, and collaboration across the organization. Facilitates scheduling of debriefs and case reviews; performs causal analyses and root cause analyses; aggregates, presents, and explains trends, data, and outcomes to diverse audiences. Supports Culture of Safety Surveys and participates in risk identification and mitigation initiatives, working closely with Risk Management, Department Directors, Clinical Coordinators, and other health care professionals.
