Job Summary
Safety/Loss Prevention Manager responsible for developing, implementing, administering, and continuously improving Goodwill SWMI’s Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS&S) programs across plant, retail, and logistics operations. Ensures compliance with OSHA/MIOSHA, DOT, EPA, and local regulations; reduces workplace injuries and illnesses; minimizes risk exposure and loss; acts as the organization’s SME for employee health and safety, workplace security, and retail loss prevention; serves as primary contact during regulatory inspections, audits, and investigations. Manages incident investigations, workers’ compensation processes, safety training, inspections, audits, and continuous improvement; leads safety committees; coordinates with leaders to integrate safety into daily operations; oversees security programs, loss prevention activities, and fleet safety with regular travel to multiple locations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in employee health and safety, security, and/or loss prevention.
- Experience must include regulatory compliance, incident investigation, safety training, and multi-site operations.
- Prior leadership or program ownership experience required.
- Associate degree in Occupational Safety, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or related field required; equivalent experience considered
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Management, Risk Management, or related field preferred
