Job Summary
Conduct daily yard checks and monitor equipment at respective terminals to capture and inspect all vehicles. Identify Department of Transportation and CSA violations, ensuring repairs are completed before equipment leaves the facility. Compile company, EPA, and safety policies to meet local, state, and federal standards while maintaining a clean work area. Complete repair orders in a timely manner, accurately charging labor and parts to the appropriate units. Account for all direct and indirect labor hours daily and weekly. Coach and communicate effectively with shop and driving staff. Work various shifts and days in all climates, including extreme heat and cold, while lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to identify D.O.T. issues on any/all equipment Marten operates
- Clear and concise understanding of the fleets equipment and how to properly maintain the company standard
- Must possess mechanical skills and aptitude for the position
- Must be able to exhibit skills and knowledge through company pre-employment exam
- Must be able to read and write English language
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long hours
- Must be able to work various shifts and days
- Must be able to work in all types of climates including extreme hot and cold
