Job Summary
Conduct daily yard checks and monitor equipment at respective terminals to identify DOT issues and CSA violations. Ensure all repairs are completed before equipment leaves the facility and compile company, EPA, and safety policies to meet local, state, and federal standards. Account for direct and indirect labor hours daily and weekly while completing repair orders with accurate labor and parts charges. Maintain a clean work area, return unused parts, and coach shop and driving staff effectively. Requires mechanical aptitude, English proficiency, and ability to lift 50 pounds while working various shifts in extreme climates.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to identify D.O.T. issues on any/all equipment Marten operates
- Clear and concise understanding of the fleets equipment and how to properly maintain the company standard
- Must possess mechanical skills and aptitude for the position
- Must be able to exhibit skills and knowledge through company pre-employment exam
- Must be able to read and write English language
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long hours
- Must be able to work various shifts and days
- Must be able to work in all types of climates including extreme hot and cold
