Job Summary
Partner with engineers to master the end-to-end papermaking cycle from raw materials to final distribution. Lead impactful safety projects including lockout procedure verification, machine guarding assessments, and industrial hygiene monitoring. Identify operational efficiencies and recommend strategic improvement projects across the facility while collaborating with plant staff and departmental leaders. This 12-week onsite assignment at our Augusta, GA mill offers hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes, environmental challenges, and regulatory compliance under direct mentorship from Department Managers.
Required Qualifications
- Majoring in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or Industrial Hygiene
- 3.0+ overall GPA
- High attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Troubleshooting skills
- Analytical skills
- Effective oral communication skills
- Effective written communication skills
- Leadership experience
- Self-motivation
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
