Job Summary
Conduct daily safety audits using the iAuditor app, survey site conditions, and analyze potential hazards to determine necessary safeguards. Implement immediate corrective actions for noncompliance with Federal, State, or local laws while reviewing audit results, accident trends, and disciplinary actions with foremen. Administer fall protection programs, fit testing, and employee training for new hires and returning staff, ensuring all equipment operators hold valid certificates. Investigate incidents and near-miss reports, file required documentation, and coordinate drug testing. Make available personal protective equipment, job safety materials, and first aid supplies. Meet with management to discuss safety program effectiveness and training schedules. Requires a valid CDL, Medical Card, and ability to walk difficult terrain.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of five years' experience supporting or leading safety programs
- A minimum of three years' experience in the industry they are responsible for overseeing
- This experience must be in the high voltage electrical transmission and distribution trade
- Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP)
- background in Electric transmission and Distribution utility services
- Working knowledge of state and federal OSHA laws and regulations
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Must be able to work outside and travel
- Must have a valid CDL & Medical Card
- Successful candidates will be required to pass post-offer and random drug tests, including marijuana
