Job Summary
Conduct daily safety audits using the iAuditor app to survey site conditions, analyze hazards, and determine necessary safeguards. Implement immediate corrective actions for noncompliance with Federal, State, or local laws while administering fall protection programs and fit testing. Evaluate employee safety performance, provide guidance and training, and investigate all incidents and near-miss reports. Coordinate new hire drug testing, ensure equipment operators hold required certificates, and review truck/equipment inspection reports. Lead morning tailboard meetings to discuss incidents, near misses, and good catches, and meet with management to discuss accident trends and safety program improvements. Requires a valid CDL, Medical Card, and CUSP certification.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of five years' experience supporting or leading safety programs
- A minimum of three years' experience in the industry they are responsible for overseeing
- This experience must be in the high voltage electrical transmission and distribution trade
- Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP)
- background in Electric transmission and Distribution utility services
- Working knowledge of state and federal OSHA laws and regulations
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Must be able to work outside and travel
- Must have a valid CDL & Medical Card
- Smoke & drug free environment
- Successful candidates will be required to pass post-offer and random drug tests, including marijuana
