Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Safety Director, assists with the development and implementation of Company safety, health, and training programs. Conducts incident investigations, consults with field teams, and helps resolves hazardous or potentially hazardous situations. Conducts safety orientations and training as needed. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety policies, conducting job site safety inspections, coordinating and delivering safety orientations and onboarding, developing fire prevention and protection programs, coordinating toolbox talks and safety training to ensure regulatory compliance, conducting accident investigations, managing workers' compensation processes, compiling safety data and reports (OSHA logs, contractor safety data reports), maintaining compliance documentation, and serving as a safety resource to employees. The role also involves representing the company at safety meetings and participating in continual program improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year occupational safety/health degree or equivalent combination of training and certifications
- Three to Five years’ experience in construction safety
- Awareness and understanding of applicable federal, state, and local regulations for the construction industry
- Ability to recognize hazards and recommend corrective action
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Mastery of Microsoft Office products
- Valid passenger driver’s license and clear driving record
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
