Job Summary
Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and job safety analyses for all work activities while ensuring compliance with OSHA, FMA, and environmental regulations. Lead emergency response team preparations, investigate accidents and near misses, and oversee permit-to-work issuance and site safety supervision. Develop and enforce safety procedures for high-risk tasks such as cutting, welding, and confined spaces, while monitoring PPE usage and contractor competencies. Prepare monthly safety reports, maintain environmental records, and coordinate facility inspections and regulatory submissions to DOSH and DOE.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in SHE or EHS role
- Good knowledge of OSHA, FMA, EQA, and relevant Malaysian regulations
- Strong skills in risk assessment, incident investigation, PTW system, ERT management, and SHE documentation
- Strong communication and training delivery skills
Desired Qualifications
- Green Book Holder (Registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH)
- Niosh Safety & Health Officer (SHO) certificate
- CePSWAM, CePIETSO, or other DOE certifications
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, logistics, or similar high-risk industries
