Safety, Health, & Environmental (SHE) Manager

Job Summary
Lead site vision and strategy as a member of the Leadership Team while guiding technical expertise to ensure compliance with SHE regulations. Coach leaders and associates on behavioral safety processes and develop systems for timely training, incident investigations, and scheduled audits. Represent the plant in third-party audit reviews, communicate trends, and develop SOPs for major regulatory programs including OSHA, EPA, and Clean Water Act. Monitor new regulations, track key performance indicators, and implement projects to reduce waste and meet wastewater and air quality permits. Lead the plant emergency response team and participate in multi-division SHE efforts to continuously improve performance across all facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in safety, engineering, environmental or related discipline
- 7 years' experience leading EHS in a manufacturing facility
- Excellent verbal & written communication, leadership and training skills

Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a safety, environmental or engineering discipline, or an MBA
- Experience developing and delivering training programs
- Experience managing internal and external audits and working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, TDG/DOT, and NFPA
- Purchasing experience and knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures
- Project management experience, and experience with competitive bidding and contractor supervision
- Knowledge of building design, ADA requirements, fire, life safety and all relevant codes
- Excellent verbal & written communication, leadership and training skills
- Green or Black Belt certification, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist
- 2 years of direct supervisory experience
