Safety, Health & Environment Specialist IV

Job Summary
Conduct daily site safety walks, audit contractor hazard assessments, and lead investigations into workplace accidents and complaints. Independently develop and maintain safety programs, supervise EHS personnel, and review contractor environmental plans for regulatory conformance. Monitor leading and lagging performance indicators, facilitate safety committee meetings, and communicate incident data to leadership. Draft reports for federal and local agencies while delivering site-specific training and coaching. Spend approximately 60% of working hours in the field engaging with contractor management, with occasional travel to multiple project locations.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA +6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Experience in construction safety or related field
- Experience in environmental compliance and industry standards
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review
- US citizenship
- A minimum of 60% of working hours in the field, engaging, coaching, and walking
- May include travel to multiple local project locations, as requested
- Must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Construction Safety
- Data center construction or operation experience
- Experience overseeing a variety of construction trades
- NFPA 70E Certification
- OSHA 30 Construction Safety Training
- OSHA Authorized Trainer
- Certified Safety Professional or similar certifications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with a variety of stakeholders
