Job Summary
Lead SHEQ functions across manufacturing, despatch, maintenance and support to embed health, safety, environment and quality practices; manage risk identification, investigations and corrective actions; own and maintain SHEQ management systems and laboratory operations; provide leadership and governance over quality systems; develop and engage the team, and partner with production and maintenance to integrate SHEQ into everyday decisions and change across Ballance’s Awarua site in Invercargill.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience leading SHEQ or safety and quality functions in a complex operational environment.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to manufacturing or heavy industry.
- A track record of influencing leaders and frontline teams to own and improve safety and quality outcomes.
- Proven ability to implement and maintain management systems — and drive continuous improvement that sticks.
- Experience in manufacturing, process, or heavy industry — exposure to laboratory or quality assurance functions is a bonus.
