Job Summary
Lead and manage the company-wide Safety Program across commercial electrical construction and electrical service operations. Oversee jobsite safety, safety training, compliance, incident reporting, tool and equipment management, fleet safety, and continuous improvement of safety standards. Build trust with project managers, foremen, apprentices, technicians, and leadership. Responsibilities include developing and enforcing safety policies, conducting jobsite safety audits, leading incident investigations, ensuring OSHA/NFPA 70E compliance, maintaining training records, coordinating safety documentation for prequalification, and delivering practical safety training while traveling to sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of safety experience in construction/electrical/industrial/commercial contracting
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety requirements
- Experience with electrical safety and NFPA 70E preferred
- OSHA 30 certification required or ability to obtain within defined period
- OSHA 500 a plus
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- CHST CSP ASP or similar safety certification is a plus
- Experience managing safety documentation, incident reports, training records, audits, and compliance processes
- Ability to conduct effective training for field and office personnel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using technology for reporting, tracking, inspections, documentation, and communication
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
