Job Summary
Ensure the new manufacturing location complies with all applicable State and Federal Environment, Health and Safety requirements. Maintain knowledge of U.S. and North Carolina regulations while keeping abreast of legislative changes. Implement EHS policies, practices, and guidelines; develop training programs, and conduct training to meet regulatory corporate initiatives. Supervise incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action completion. Conduct environmental, health, and safety audits, risk assessments, and external compliance audits. Coordinate corrective actions with site personnel and liaise with facilities maintenance for fire and life safety controls. Oversee permitting submissions for air, water, and land jurisdictions and serve as the site contact for government inquiries. Lead the site safety committee, function as a technical EHS resource for management, and participate in Continuous Improvement/6S activities.
Required Qualifications
- Clear experience in managing people in EHS Teams
- Strategic Leadership (Proven and able to articulate)
- Led Multiple Sites at one time. (Proven Experience)
- Manufacturing Environment EHS Leader for seven or more years
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Engineering (If not, 15 years or more in Manufacturing Safety)
- Knowledge of ISO 14000, 45000, and 50001 standards
- detailed knowledge and practical application of environment, health and safety regulations in the U.S. and North Carolina requirements
