Job Summary
Develop and manage safety programs ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, Georgia EPD, and corporate policies while leading hazard identification, job hazard analyses, and risk assessments. Conduct safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations with root cause analysis, overseeing core programs including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, confined spaces, ergonomics, fall protection, PPE, and bloodborne pathogens. Collaborate with departments to embed safety into operations, develop tailored training for employees and contractors, and lead safety committee meetings. Maintain documentation for OSHA logs, injury rates, and regulatory inspections, coordinate emergency response preparedness, and ensure site readiness for OSHA, Fire Marshall, or other agency reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in EHS roles within manufacturing (preferably food or related industries)
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA General Industry Standards
- Proven experience in injury prevention, compliance programs, and safety training
- Proficient in EHS software tools and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Windows
- MS Office (ability to use MS Teams)
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs, climb ladders, or willing to use aerial lifts or scissor lifts
- Bilingual (English/Korean) communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Certification(s) preferred: ASP (Associate Safety Professional)
- Professional Certification(s) preferred: CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager)
- Construction safety experience a plus
