Safety Environmental Manager

Job Summary
Manage environmental and safety operations for the Greencastle manufacturing facility, overseeing regulatory compliance programs, safety training, and industrial hygiene. Confer with all employees as a resource for facility issues and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, legal, and executive management to develop safety and environmental programs. Direct sustainability and recycling initiatives while overseeing air, wastewater, and stormwater permits. Produce monthly and year-end environmental reports, OSHA logs, and audit certifications. Requires a four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent, ten years of manufacturing safety experience, and strong communication skills. Full-time role with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, 401K, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- four-year college degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management, or equivalent, including strong chemistry background or adequate job experience in environmental and safety (or equivalent experience)
- Ten years of prior experience in manufacturing safety and/or environmental relating to OSHA regulations, injury prevention, air emissions, wastewater treatment and hazardous waste disposal
- excellent communication and presentation skills
- five years of management experience
- above average PC skills
- knowledge of technology
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
