Job Summary
Coordinate and drive Environmental, Health and Safety programs for HNI Furniture Operations at the Muscatine facility. Implement the Member Safety Program, conduct Safe Workplace Design and process improvements, and drive engagement to achieve safety and sustainability objectives. Develop and deliver EHS programs, training, and communications to foster ownership and accountability among facility members. Optimize EHS measures and communications to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Associate degree with experience can be considered
- 2 or more years of experience in safety in a manufacturing environment
- Background in engineering
- Self-motivated
- Effective communication skills
- Critical thinker and strategic planning skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Effective problem-solving skills
