Job Summary
Gather, track, and analyze Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG/CO2 emissions data to ensure compliance with national standards and ISO 14064 requirements. Collaborate with production units to implement GHG reduction opportunities, including flare emission reduction and energy efficiency strategies. Conduct monthly data reviews with operations supervisors, support annual Greenhouse Gas Management Plans, and coordinate independent verification audits. Track critical meter functionality, manage Leak Detection and Repair plans in SAP, and prepare quality time-based management reports. Be the focal point for industry benchmarking exercises and new national or international emissions initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or related scientific discipline from a reputable institution
- 5+ years of proven experience in the Exploration and Production (EP) industry
- A proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools especially Microsoft Excel
- A good knowledge of Power BI
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent technical report writing skills
- A good understanding of environmental regulations and compliance
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills of working as part of a team and skilled at managing cross-functional interfaces with a drive to embed change
- Skilled at delivering through others
- Knowledge of Project Management techniques, including business planning and evaluation
