Job Summary
Safety Engineer for US Army support, on-site at Picatinny Arsenal (Dover, NJ). Major duties include conducting complex hazard analyses (PHA, SHA, FHA), serving as the safety subject matter expert during key program milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR), applying system safety design precedence to mitigate risks, maintaining the Hazard Tracking System (HTS) and drafting Safety Assessment Reports (SAR) for Government review, and supporting mishap investigations. Requires deep knowledge of DoD/Army regulations (MIL-STD-882E, AR 385-10, DA PAM 385-16, DA PAM 385-10, DA PAM 385-40) and familiarity with software/system safety engineering practices. Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Secret clearance; relocation assistance is limited with local candidates preferred; employment is on-site with multiple interview steps and extensive background checks.
