Job Summary
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry health and safety regulations by conducting thorough risk assessments and recommending corrective actions. Lead health and safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and safety meetings for employees. Investigate accidents, near-misses, and injuries to identify root causes and implement preventative measures while collaborating with leadership to maintain a safe environment. Prepare safety documentation using Microsoft Office tools and perform all other duties as assigned on project sites. This role supports KE&G Construction's employee-owned culture of safety and integrity in heavy civil and general contracting across Arizona.
Required Qualifications
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in both construction and general industry
- Proven ability to conduct investigations and develop actionable solutions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for addressing large groups
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry, handle, or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery, and/or controls weighing up to 50 pounds
- Requires the ability to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs and/or ladders, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift overhead, and traverse construction sites safely
- Will be required to work on project sites and operate vehicles, trailers, machinery, equipment, and other tools within local, state, and federal safety guidelines
- Works outdoors frequently for long periods of time in all weather conditions, including extreme hot and cold temperatures
- May be exposed to chemicals, vapors, pollutants, viruses, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles, machinery, and dust/debris
