Job Summary
Assess products against national, regional, and international safety standards. Prepare technical reports, files, and certificates while developing test plans and conducting safe tests in Eurofins labs or at customer sites. Lead technical advice meetings with clients and occasionally travel domestically or internationally. Collaborate with the sales team to prepare quotations. Review draft reports and mentor trainee certification engineers in senior roles. This technical, client-facing position requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Electronics, plus experience with UL/CSA/IEC standards. Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in Irvine, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or prior experience working at a NRTL in AV/ICT/Household Testing Standards
- Experience with safety standards to include, but not limited to: UL/CSA/IEC 62368-1, 61010-1, 60335-1
- Demonstrated safety experience either from an NRTL, test lab, or manufacturer
- An engineering associated educational background
- Understanding basic safety testing along with self-sufficient capabilities to perform testing
- Ability to communicate with clients and management efficently
- Attention to detail, following test procedures
- Ability to move and set up test equipment
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
