Job Summary
Lead and manage company-wide safety initiatives for a multi-state construction environment (structural steel construction across Florida, Virginia, and Pennsylvania) with a balance of office work and field presence. Develop and maintain OSHA-compliant safety policies, direct safety training, lead incident investigations and corrective actions, analyze safety and claims data to reduce risk, supervise the safety team across regions, oversee OSHA logs and regulatory reporting, and present safety metrics to executive leadership. Drive a proactive safety culture, manage the motor vehicle records program, oversee the full lifecycle of claims, and lead safety committees while ensuring compliance and effective risk management across fabrication, erection, and field operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Construction, or related field
- OSHA 500 preferred
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) preferred
- Minimum 10 years of construction safety experience
- Minimum 5 years leading structured safety programs
- Experience with a self-performing GC or specialty contractor preferred
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA and construction safety regulations
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to travel monthly and quarterly across FL, VA, and PA
- Comfortable working in both office and active construction environments
- Experience overseeing claims management and loss control programs
