Job Summary
Develop and implement occupational health policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws. Conduct safety inspections, audits, and hazard analyses to identify opportunities minimizing workplace injuries, while managing OSHA recordkeeping and reporting. Provide technical support to the safety committee, foster a culture where employees report hazards, and conduct training on applicable standards. Review accidents and incident reports, representing the company with regulatory agencies and stakeholders. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, five years of industrial experience, and extensive OSHA knowledge. Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to conduct training
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Bachelors' degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field required
- At least five years of occupational health and safety experience in an industrial environment required
