Job Summary
Assist the Safety Manager in facilitating an injury- and incident-free workplace by evaluating, monitoring, accounting for, and assisting with occupational safety programs. Conduct periodic inspections of facilities and vehicles for safety compliance; perform job site safety inspections; conduct worksite risk assessments and identify/control hazards; investigate safety incidents; ensure compliance with OSHA, IMSHA, EM-385. Must communicate effectively, be self-starting, and work independently. Requires practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards, OSHA 510 or 511, and the ability to work in extreme temperatures and loud environments. Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant experience and/or training
- OSHA 510 or 511 required
- excellent written and oral communication skills
- practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards
- ability to interact well with all levels
- ability to work in extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures
- ability to work while exposed to loud sounds and noise levels
- proficiency with Microsoft Office Professional programs and applicable database programs
