Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing safety programs to minimize risk and improve the safety management system, overseeing compliance with regulations by MSHA and OSHA. Key responsibilities include developing safety training programs, overseeing safety policies, promoting a safety culture, maintaining safety records, tracking safety performance through KPIs, and managing incident investigations. Candidates should have an Associates degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, MSHA certification, and a minimum of three years of oversight experience in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in a scientific or technical field or a minimum of three years of work experience in a health and safety role
- MSHA Training / Qualified Trainer
- Minimum three years of MSHA or OSHA-related oversight in a manufacturing environment
Desired Qualifications
- Microsoft Office applications
- Health Safety Institute (HIS) preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
