Job Summary
Implement and manage the Irby Safety Management System by observing field crews, analyzing conditions, and correcting unsafe behaviors. Integrate safety into project plans, establish goals, reinforce policies, support training, and monitor metrics to ensure federal, state, and local regulations are observed. Halt operations posing imminent hazards to personnel or equipment while ensuring OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements are met. This travel-based role supports Transmission projects across the Gulf Coast Region / Southeast US, requiring 3-5 years of power industry field experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of field experience in the power industry
- Strong background in Transmission
- Experience as a Journeyman lineman, foreman, or safety with direct experience in the field
- Safety Certification
- Strong persuasive skills in dealing with management; Powerline construction managers and supervisors
- Ability to organize safety and occupational health material to managers and safety committee effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software/tools
- Must be able to travel to support various projects

- OSHA 500 / 510, CHST, ASP, CSP, CSHO, COSS, COSM, CUSP, SMS
