Safety Coordinator/ Trainer

Job Summary
Develop and conduct training for drivers and non-driving staff on Federal and state transportation regulations, safety policies/practices, and documentation such as permits and route preparation. Deliver orientation for road testing, pre/post equipment inspections, and proper load securement; perform Smith System Defensive Driving training; assist drivers with inspection of newly issued equipment; lead post-accident training and training audits with corrective action as needed. Qualifications include FMCSR experience, DOT regulation knowledge, and proven training program development/ delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)
- Knowledge of federal and state Department of Transportation (DOT) Motor Carrier regulations
- Experience developing / conducting training programs
- Current Homeland Security TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credentials), preferred
- FMCSA Reasonable Suspicion training/certificate, preferred
- Experience with Loading/Unloading/Securement of Heavy Equipment
