Job Summary
Conduct site inspections, testing, and evaluations of workplace environments, equipment, and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety standards. Lead incident and accident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine contributing factors and prevent recurrence. Assess the effectiveness of workplace safety and health programs, develop corrective actions, and deliver ongoing safety training to promote a strong culture of workplace safety. Operate, maintain, and oversee the installation and certification of safety equipment while managing the collection, packaging, and proper disposal of hazardous materials. Serve as the primary point of contact for field supervisors on health, safety, and environmental matters. This role requires OSHA 30/500 certifications, experience in heavy civil construction, and bilingual Spanish/English skills.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations
- 2–3 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS)
- Experience in heavy civil construction
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements
- Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk and lift heavy objects (50 pounds) during the course of the workday
- Must be available for required travel between multiple construction sites
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 30/OSHA500, First Aid, CPR, and TECS certifications
