Job Summary
Provide on-site safety supervision, coordination, and guidance to commissioning, maintenance, and construction crews while conducting field audits, inspections, and hazard analyses. Coach employees to support performance improvement, lead toolbox talks, and maintain authority to stop unsafe work. Perform thorough incident investigations with root cause analysis, manage occupational injury claims, and collaborate with WCB providers. Ensure ongoing compliance with training certifications, safety manuals, and Saskatchewan OHS regulations. Support project managers with PPE procurement and provide safety documentation to customers. Operates on a 7/7 rotational schedule with 12-hour shifts, including camp accommodation during rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel to job sites
- 5+ years of safety experience in construction, industrial, maintenance, or electrical environments
- Experience supporting field-based or multi-site operations
- Strong knowledge of Saskatchewan and Canadian OHS regulations
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and coach teams
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and committed to continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field (preferred)
- Professional safety designation (e.g., NCSO, CRSP) is an asset
